Spicy Orange Texas Pecans

What a great treat are these slowly roasted Texan Pecans.

187 g	powdered sugar
2 tbsp	cornstarch
1 tsp	cinnamon
1/2 tsp	cayenne pepper or 2 tsp Tabasco sauce
1/8 tsp	salt
2 tbsp	freshly grated orange peel
2	egg whites, lightly beaten
3 tbsp	freshly squeezed orange juice
460 g	whole shelled Texas pecans

Step 1
Heat oven to 121°C. Line baking sheet pan with parchment paper and set aside.
Step 2
Mix powdered sugar, cornstarch, cinnamon, cayenne pepper, salt, orange peel, egg whites and orange juice. Stir until well combined. Add pecans and stir to coat well.
Step 3
Using a slotted spoon, remove pecans individually from coating mixture. Allow coating to drain from pecan and then place on prepared baking sheet. Do not allow pecans to touch.
Step 4
Bake 20-25 minutes or until dry. Let cool completely before storing in a covered airtight container.
