Maple Glazed Walnuts

The walnuts candied with maple syrup are suitable as a snack or standalone confection, as part of pastry, or as a topping for baked goods.

Ingredients

California walnut halves
Maple syrup
Sesame seeds

  1. Step 1

    Mix walnuts and maple syrup carefully until the walnut pieces are evenly coated with syrup. Then add the sesame.

  2. Step 2

    Spread the walnuts on a baking sheet lined with parchment paper.

  3. Step 3

    Bake for 25 minutes at 160°C, turning twice until lightly browned. Let them cool on the baking sheet; the walnuts will become dry and crispy. Store in an airtight container in a cool place.
