Surimi Mac’n’Cheese

Ingredients

200 g	Alaska Surimi
300 g	short macaroni
1	clove of garlic
2 tbsp	butter
2 tbsp	flour
300 ml	milk
200 g	cream
200 g	grated tangy cheese, e.g. cheddar cheese
40 g	breadcrumbs (e.g. Pank/Breadcrumbs)
2 tbsp	olive oil
30 g	grated parmesan
	Nutmeg, ground
	Salt, freshly ground pepper

Step 1
Cut the surimi into pieces. Prepare the macaroni according to the instructions on the packet. Peel and finely chop the garlic and sauté in heated butter. Add the flour and sauté. Pour in milk and cream, bring to the boil and season with salt, pepper and nutmeg.
Step 2
Add 150 g cheese, mix with the macaroni and surimi and pour into a baking dish. Preheat the oven to 180°C top/bottom heat (160°C convection oven).
Step 3
Lightly toast the breadcrumbs in heated oil. Add the Parmesan and allow the mixture to cool slightly. Add the remaining cheese, sprinkle over the macaroni, bake in the oven for approx. 25-30 minutes until golden brown and serve.
