Scallops with Parsley and Garlic from The Grill Pan

This dish works particularly well when cooked in a cast iron pan on the grill. If you don’t have a cast iron pan at hand, you can also use  a normal pan on a cooking plate in your kitchen.

Ingredients

16Atlantic Sea Scallops, each approx. 20g, dabbed dry with kitchen paper
4 tbspolive oil
1large clove of garlic, peeled, very finely chopped
2 tbspflat-leaf parsley, very finely chopped
Lemon juice

  1. Step 1

    Place the scallops in a mixing bowl and mix with the olive oil, chopped garlic and chopped fresh parsley.

  2. Step 2

    Put the prepared scallops in the refrigerator for about half an hour.

  3. Step 3

    Heat the grill pan on the grill over direct heat until it is very hot. Immediately before grilling the scallops, lower the temperature (gas grill) or put the pan over indirect heat (charcoal).

  4. Step 4

    Put the prepared scallops in the hot pan and grill on both sides for 1.5-2 minutes.

  5. Step 5

    Serve immediately with a pinch of lemon juice.
