Savory Black Grape Sorbet

Suitable for adults, the Savory Black Grape Sorbet is a vegan and gluten-free sorbet that nicely brings together black California Grapes, lemon juice, vodka, and basil. Great for a hot summer evening, this frozen dessert has a beautiful, deep purple color and an absolutely refreshing flavor.

Featuring California Table Grapes

Ingredients

400 g	black California seedless grapes, washed and stemmed
50 g	sugar
2 tbsp	vodka
2 tbsp	lemon juice
8	large basil leaves
pinch	salt

Step 1
In a food processor or blender, puree the grapes and sugar until smooth.
Step 2
Pour into a small saucepan and bring to a boil over high heat. Reduce the heat to a simmer and cook until mixture has reduced by about one-third, about 15 minutes.Stir in the vodka, lemon juice, basil and salt, then let cool to room temperature.
Step 3
Pour the mixture into a shallow pan and freeze until hard, 3 to 4 hours.
Step 4
Transfer to a food processor or blender and process until smooth and creamy and lightened in color.
Step 5
Serve immediately.
