Raisin Garlic Barbecue Sauce

This is a delightfully savory and slightly sweet condiment that’s perfect for lifting grilled meats, sandwiches, or even veggies. This unique twist on classic BBQ sauce features a blend of garlic, onions, and tangy ketchup, all enriched by the natural sweetness and rich texture of California Raisins.

Ingredients

10cloves garlic, sliced
75 gthinly sliced onion
60 mlvegetable oil
240 mlketchup
360 mlwater
60 mlcider vinegar
60 mlWorcestershire sauce
110 gCalifornia raisins
1/2 tspchili powder
1/2 tspsalt
1 tspliquid smoke (optional)

  1. Step 1

    Cook garlic and onion in oil until garlic is golden.

  2. Step 2

    Add remaining ingredients and bring to boil.

  3. Step 3

    Reduce to simmering and cook 30 minutes, stirring occasionally. Cool.

  4. Step 4

    Pour sauce into blender or food processor and pulse until smooth. Store in refrigerator.
