U.S. Grilled Ribeye Steak

Ingredients

approx. 250–300 g each	2 Ribeye steaks
	Coarse sea salt
	Freshly ground black pepper
Optional	a little rapeseed or peanut oil for rubbing

Step 1
Prepare the meat (30 min before): Remove steaks from the fridge 30 minutes before grilling. Optionally, rub lightly with oil.
Step 2
Preheat grill (10 min): Heat grill or grill pan to high direct heat (approx. 250–300 °C).
Step 3
Grill (2–3 min per side): Sear steaks over direct heat for 2–3 minutes per side until a nice crust forms. If desired, move to indirect heat and cook 2–4 minutes more depending on thickness and preferred doneness.
Step 4
Season & rest (5 min): Remove from the grill, season with salt and pepper, and let rest for 5 minutes before serving.
